Free Hearing Screenings at NAMM Convention for Audio and Music Pros (Newswise)
The House Ear Institute (HEI) will provide free hearing screenings to attendees and exhibitors on the show floor of the 2009 NAMM Winter Show at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The screenings at NAMM are a service of the institute's Sound Partners hearing conservation program, and made possible through the support of Shure Incorporated and the NAMM show.

Marisela Leon, 44, has neurofibromatosis type 2 -- a rare genetic condition that causes tumors to grow on nerves in the brain or spinal cord, but most commonly on the auditory nerve.
